Our Autism & ADHD assessments are designed with the understanding that neurodivergence is a valid and natural variation of human experience—not a disorder to be fixed. We offer a collaborative, trauma-informed, and affirming process that centers your lived experience, identity, and insight.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, validation, or support navigating a late diagnosis, our approach honors the full spectrum of how autism can show up—especially in those who’ve been overlooked due to masking, gender, race, PDA profiles, or co-occurring experiences like ADHD, OCD, or C-PTSD.

This is not a cold checklist or a pathologizing evaluation. Instead, it’s a compassionate and curious process grounded in deep listening, self-understanding, and respect for your unique way of moving through the world.

You deserve to be seen—without minimizing, doubting, or decoding.

🧠 We Specialize In:

  • Adult & late-identified autism (including AuDHDers & PDA profiles)

  • Assessments tailored for women, trans, and nonbinary folks

  • Supportive exploration of misdiagnoses (e.g., anxiety, BPD, bipolar, OCD)

  • Creating affirming language you can use in your life, workplace, or care team

Streamlined Assessments

A streamlined Assessment, as compared to a full psychological evaluation, is designed for individuals seeking a streamlined, affirming evaluation for Autism and/or ADHD without the need for a full psychological report.

The assessment includes self-report measures, a diagnostic interview and administration of Autism and/or ADHD interviews.

The Autism interview is a sensory-based, neurodiversity-affirming tool that supports deeper understanding of autistic identity beyond traditional checklists. When helpful, additional screening tools may be used to briefly assess for differential diagnoses such as ADHD, anxiety, or mood concerns.

This offering is ideal for adults who:

  • Suspect they may be Autistic and/or ADHDers and want clarity or confirmation

  • Need documentation for self-understanding, accommodations, or support

  • Prefer a strengths-based, respectful process that centers lived experience and is affirming.

  • Are high masking or present non-stereotypically.

Important Notes

Our Assessment offerings do not include a full psychometric battery or a comprehensive psychological report. If you need formal documentation for disability services, legal purposes, or workplace accommodation under the ADA, please contact me to discuss whether a more in-depth evaluation is appropriate.

Please be aware that some institutions, agencies, or service providers may not accept an Autism or ADHD diagnosis made by a master’s-level clinician (such as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) if it is not conducted or supervised by a licensed psychologist or medical doctor. This varies widely depending on the organization’s policies and intended use of the assessment.

It is the your responsibility to verify in advance what type of assessment is required for your specific needs (e.g., school accommodations, workplace requests, county or federal benefits, etc.). This includes confirming whether a diagnosis from a master’s-level provider will be accepted, and whether a diagnostic letter (rather than a full report) is sufficient.

If you are pursuing this assessment for formal documentation or access to services, please communicate any required criteria to The  Divergent Grove Therapy prior to the evaluation, as we cannot guarantee that a diagnosis provided through this service will be accepted by all third parties.
